Radiology and Imaging

Overview

The Department of Radiation Medicine provides diagnostic imaging for emergency, inpatient and outpatient care, supported by consultant radiologists and radiographers. Imaging supports trauma management, cancer staging, obstetric care and routine diagnosis.

Modalities

• Digital plain radiography
• Ultrasonography, including obstetric and Doppler studies
• Computed tomography
• Magnetic resonance imaging
• Fluoroscopy and contrast studies
• Image-guided and interventional procedures

Before your scan

• Bring your request form and previous imaging
• Follow any fasting or fluid instructions given at booking
• Tell staff if you are or may be pregnant
• Declare implants, pacemakers or metallic devices before MRI
